Making a depressed person find their own counselor/psychiatrist through the insurance company’s website is like teaching a drowning person how to swim.

  1. If I was closer I would help you out. I understand how much that could suck. Just trying to find a doc through insurance is depressing. and I’m a bit peeved that your reg doc or someone didn’t suggest one for you and help you out. That is part of their job.

  2. I like it. I used to try and describe my depression by telling people I felt like a building fell on me. Eventually I settled on feeling like a caged animal being jabbed with sharp sticks. More people seem to relate to the latter.
